Free diagnosis

You bring or send your storage device to our laboratory (Chaussée de Louvain 467, 1030 Brussels). We perform a thorough initial analysis within 24h: identifying the failure, assessing the device's condition, estimating the recovery rate.

The diagnosis is always free and non-binding. You can take your device back at no charge if you decide not to proceed.

Exception: diagnosis may be charged if the device was previously opened by another company or if you attempted a repair yourself.

Quote & approval

After diagnosis, you receive a detailed verbal report and a precise quote. We explain exactly what happened, what can be recovered, and at what cost.

You freely decide whether to proceed. No pressure, no charge if you decline. The quote is valid for 15 days.

Laboratory recovery

Once the quote is accepted, we proceed with the intervention. Depending on the failure type, we use:

  • ISO Class 5 cleanroom for mechanical failures (read head replacement, platter work)
  • AceLab PC-3000 Portable PRO, PC-3000 UDMA, PC-3000 Flash for logical and electronic interventions
  • Specialised software for RAID reconstruction, partition recovery and firmware repair

Your hard drive never leaves Belgium. You are kept informed of progress on request.

Delivery & payment

Recovered data is copied to an external drive you provide, or to a new USB stick / external drive (optional, billed separately).

You check your recovered files yourself at the laboratory, before paying. If data cannot be recovered or the result does not match the quote, you pay nothing.

Process FAQ

Do I need an appointment to drop off my device?

We recommend calling ahead (02 888 29 90) to confirm availability. This allows us to welcome you properly and start the analysis quickly.

Can I send my drive by post?

Yes. Use a rigid package with foam protection (never a padded envelope). Send by tracked registered mail. We recommend calling or emailing before sending to agree on the details.

How do I know if my data is recoverable?

The initial diagnosis gives you an estimate. In the vast majority of cases, we can assess recoverability during the first analysis. For complex cases (severe mechanical failures, degraded RAID), further analysis may be needed before confirming.

What if only part of my data can be recovered?

After diagnosis, we tell you what is recoverable and at what cost, with a firm quote. You decide whether it is worth the intervention. We will never charge you for a recovery you have not validated.

Will my drive remain confidential?

Absolutely. Your hard drive never leaves Belgium. Only one person works on it (the technician who performed the diagnosis). A non-disclosure agreement (NDA) can be signed on request.
