Cookie Policy

Last update: 10 June 2026

This page explains how Belgium Data Recovery uses cookies and similar technologies on its site. It complements our Privacy Policy and complies with the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC as transposed into Belgian law, together with the recommendations of the Belgian Data Protection Authority (APD/GBA). In case of doubt or discrepancy, the French version available on this site prevails.

Change your preferences at any time:

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) by the site you visit. It allows, in particular, to remember your preferences, measure a site's audience, or personalise an advertising experience.

We distinguish first-party cookies (placed by our own site) and third-party cookies (placed by external services such as Google).

2. Our cookie categories

Strictly necessary cookies — always active

These cookies are essential for the proper functioning of the site and to remember your choices. They do not require your consent (article 129 of the Belgian law of 13 June 2005 on electronic communications).

NamePurposeIssuerDuration
cc_cookie Stores your cookie preferences (accepted categories, date) belgiumdatarecovery.eu 6 months

Analytics cookies — subject to consent

These cookies help us understand how visitors use the site, measure audience and improve content. IP addresses are anonymised before transmission to Google.

Marketing cookies — subject to consent

These cookies allow us to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns (Google Ads) and, where applicable, to show you relevant ads.

__gadsAd personalisationGoogle Ads13 months

Cookieless audience measurement — no consent required

In addition, we use an in-house audience measurement tool that works without cookies or any identifier stored on your device, and therefore does not require consent. The data collected is limited and anonymous: page viewed, traffic source (referrer), approximate country and city, device type and browser. Your IP address is never stored and no profile is built from one day to the next. These aggregated statistics are hosted on our own infrastructure in the European Union and are not shared with any third party.

3. Your choices

On your first visit, an information banner offers three options: Accept all, Decline all, or Manage preferences. As long as you have not expressed your choice, no non-essential cookie is placed.

You may modify your preferences at any time via the button above, or via the "Manage cookies" link in the footer. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it and has no retroactive effect on processing already carried out.

4. Managing cookies in your browser

You may also configure your browser to refuse or delete cookies. Note: blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect the site's functioning.

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Safari (macOS)
  • Microsoft Edge

5. Consent log

In accordance with APD recommendations, we keep an anonymised record of your consent (unique identifier, date, accepted categories) so we can evidence its existence in case of audit. This record is stored at our host (Netlify, Inc., USA — transfers framed by the EU‑US Data Privacy Framework and the Standard Contractual Clauses) for up to 12 months, with no direct link to your identity.

6. Changes

We update this policy whenever the cookie list changes. The date at the top of the page reflects the last revision. For any question, contact us at info@infobyte.be.
